Indofast Energy revealed a strategic alliance with Bike Bazaar to deploy 5,000 electric two-wheelers across the country over the next 18 months. This initiative targets the quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery segments, increasing the availability of electric vehicles in high-demand regions.
The programme is intended to reduce vehicle downtime, lower operating costs, and ensure uninterrupted delivery services, Indofast Energy officials said. It marks a notable step toward accelerating electric vehicle uptake and shrinking the carbon footprint of last-mile delivery operations while supporting the expanding gig economy workforce.
Rajat Malhan, Senior Vice President of Indofast Energy, emphasised the dual objectives of the deployment: delivering cost-efficiency for delivery fleets and promoting sustainable practices. The company has earlier partnered with Zypp Electric and others to advance battery-swapping technology and retrofit solutions.
